A neat micropub right on the station platform. Two rooms, you enter into the bar area and there's a further room off to the right. Four beers available on our visit, none of them from Gorilla. My pint was in good nick and the locals were friendly. We liked it and will call in again next time we're in town.

We were going to give up on this micropub opening on our 1pm Sunday visit and were ready to board the train on the opposite platform until we spotted a guy opening up, so we ditched the train and headed back. The young lad said he was up late at a party. This a two roomed pub with a bar and lounge area, plus a further side room. The interior was tastefully finished with wallpapers, restored fireplaces etc.
The front bar was timber cladded using old railway sleepers, plus there was a piece of railway track at the base of the bar, should be a competition to see who can lift it up, Mrs Ale had a go but to no avail.
Six handpumps with 3 on, Gorilla Brewery Silver Back Blonde, Vanilla Gorilla and Monkey Magic.

Award winning conversion of station buildings into an 'ale and gin' bar, consisting of two adjoining rooms plus tables along the platform. All very tasteful and seems to attract artyfarty types but does have some interesting beers, on this occasion Gorilla Vanilla Gorilla, Madape Twist in my Lemon Man, Thornbridge Brother Rabbit and Windle, plus craft keg. Very handy if your train running late.
