Cask here was just Original, just a couple of clips on the six hand pumps on the bar counter. Quite a reasonable keg offering of Jubel peach lager, Estrella, Aspall, Deya Magazine Cover, Faith from Northern Monk, Neck Oil, Gamma Ray, Hepcat, Asahi, Guinness, Pravha, Peroni, Camden Hells.

Quite surprised this Youngs house hasn’t had a previous visit for review. Glass fronted with the bar counter in this bare boarded venue immediately to the left of the entrance. There is some tall stool seating at the end of the bar counter nearer to the entrance and there is an orange fabric banquette serving a couple of larger tables to the right of the entrance. The main floor space in front of the bar has several regular tables served by bucket style chairs and a turquoise banquette along the right-hand wall. Quite low ceiling and with the boarded ceiling and wood panelled walls it had a bit of a nautical feeling. Large glass frontage out onto the decking overlooking the water, the decking smothered with patio style furniture, the space on the right-hand side covered by a nice, shady pergola. There is wooden banquette style seating at the side of the venue also serving some regular patio style tables. The toilets are down a couple of flights of stairs past some function rooms called the Garden Room, the Collectors Room, and the Octopus Room, the last named of which was perhaps a bit more mysterious than the others! Feels a bit out of the way and so I can’t see a return here.
