Owned by the Inn Collection Group, which didn't surprise me as I had been in their Ambleside Inn the night before my visit here, and the decor is remarkably similar. And similarly awful. It's a posh hotel, though they make an effort to attract less moneyed customers too. There were as many as six hand pumps on the bar, though the only beers were Sharps Doom Bar and York Guzzler; I went for the Doom Bar, which was in reasonably good condition but a little warm. Warm in price too, being £2.50 for a half.
