Two-tiered GBG micro up a narrow alley. Downstairs bar has a quarry floor, Norwich City colour scheme, a large bird of prey wall decal and the ceiling is festooned with random national and regional flags with no obvious unifying concept. Two cask, six craftykeg and two ciders. Both cask were from Brass Castle, my Bright was a substandard brew but served well enough (NBSS 3.5). An unusual set of punters in, from a white guy with dreds down to his knees to a girl who was so fat the stairs literally groaned under her weight. Didn’t really settle here, think this is more one for the alternative crowd.

A splendid one room micro, the rear counter has three pulls, and there are eight keg taps on the rear wall it also supplies two so called scrumpys, plus a fridge of good stuff. Unlike many micros it actually has comfy seating even though some seats are the usual casks with cushions. It has a mad painting on one wall and the beer list blackboard on another. Single unisex toilet in the corner.

Been in worse and better. Reasonable selection of beers. Possibly worth a revisit.
