A total contrast to the Keg n Cask across the road. This is like a micro lounge rather than a micropub. Two rooms both with huge girly friendly windows, lots of fairy lights and a piano. The clientele was also very different from across the road with lots of couples. Five cask beers available on the bar along with loads of keg. My pint was in very good nick. One of the most middle class micros I've ever been in, but that's St Annes for you. I personally prefer across the road, but we'd also call in here again.

Two room, corner larger micro majoring on craft beers, five handpulls with mostly Yorkshire beers on my visit, Turning Point of Knaresborough and Wilde Child from Leeds, plus one from Shiney and a cider; 8 craft kegs from smaller breweries reside on a low bar. The servery is in the right hand room, there is seating in both rooms at high stools and lower tables and chairs, oddly for a micro it has a piano and also the obligatory pump clip and hop bine decor.

Like a candy shop of beer here with a very impressive array of both craft and keg displayed on digital screens and a blackboard. two different areas inside plus some cafe style pavement seating. the decor is an abundance of fake foliage and many pump clips. It’s a good example of its style and the beer range makes it well worth a visit - it was very busy on my visit too, with a scrum forming around my table awaiting my departure. Drinking a 12% imperial chili stout in St Annes… how did I get here?
