A bizarre place in a retail development next to Tesco Express, presumably targetting the local student population. Inside is a large hall with an almost gothic feel, furnished with old dining tables, church pews and the like. A balcony area overlooks the bar, which has oversized wall decorations behind. To one side is a café and ice cream counter. As you might expect, the solitary handpump lies unused, with Atlantic and Blue Moon the most exciting things in the keg taps. Despite the negatives, it sort of works for what it is. Actually, with some good beers and maybe a band I could quite get to like it.
