Real Ale Ray left this review about Kirkstall Taproom
A very impressive interior with some reclaimed timberwork, a glass screen and lots of old signage. Four Kirkstall beers on handpump, Pale Ale, Three Swords, Black Band and Dissolution. The two guests were Leeds Session Bitter and Allsopp's IPA, plus a choice of 12 keg offerings. The beer prices in here were slightly dearer than the Cardigan, still my Kirkstall Pale was sublime.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Kirkstall Taproom
Good-sized brewery tap with a semi-traditional look under a high ceiling forming part of the larger very modern building (with some brewing vessels visible from the street and inside). Also has a seating area at the front for the better weather. Seven of its cask beers on handpump, including the excellent Black Band porter(£5.20). When viewed from the road at dusk, definitely one of the most striking brewery taps of recent years.

From the outside this is an ultra modern brewery but the Tap has been recreated in a traditional style by Kirkstall and works wonderfully. The side entrance opens into a lobby with a mosaic sky light and a staircase but straight ahead to the Tap room with a long bar running along the rear wall,a large seating area infront with wood panelling to one side and a vast array of breweriana dotted about the walls. The furniture is mainly trad but there is a canteen feel despite the obvious features. There is an outside terrace under jumberellas.
The ale line up was mainly Kirkstall but with Leeds Pale guesting plus Pale,Three Swords,Bitter and Extra Special Mild (NBSS 3.5) and a couple I failed to note.
A good double header with the Cardigan if you want to sample Kirkstall wares,it's a bit of a walk from the city centre but worth it.
