Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal George
Imposing old inn on the main A21 to Hastings, once one of several hostelries in the village but now the only one. Even so, it has had a patchy history, and only became a pub again in 2019 after some years as a restaurant and takeaway (although it is still that as well, with a Thai menu). The compact bar counter is in the high-ceilinged and surprisingly plain central room, with the more decorated main dining room off to one side. Just the regular Harvey's (£4.80) available from a pair of handpumps, but this was in good shape.
