A large open-plan foody restaurant bar, the servery itself is a large island bar with a polished concrete top. No cask of course and the beers were mostly premium lager with some corporate craft, I foolishly went for a pint of Neck Oil at £7.45 a pint. Won't be back.

One of my few remaining venues in SW8. Here a bit after 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening on my way to the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. The place was absolutely heaving. Not much to add to the last review in terms of factual content. Opted for a glass of Pinot Noir and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere as much as anything else. Having done a collection of very traditional pubs in Plumstead on Monday evening this was a good reminder that the London drinking scene is very diverse and really does offer something for everyone.

One of the more established bars around the iconic power station, although this actually has views of Grosvenor Railway Bridge and across the Thames towards Victoria. The front terrace would be the best spot if not occupied by smokers, because the plain modern interior with an elongated island bar lacks interest. The same can be said of the expensive beer too, with just a few vaguely crafty offerings such as Meantime London Lager, Brixton Reliance (£3.50, half) and Beavertown Neck Oil in addition to Guinness and several other standard keg beers.
