Cask offering of Doom Bar, Ruddles, Abbot and then Twickenham Grandstand, Oakham Citra, Twickenham Nooksack an APA, Engine House a copper ale from Keltek, Vale Tickety Brew and London Pride. Keg offering of K1664, Bud Light, Stella, Carlsberg, Leffe Blond, Budweiser, Corona, Coors, Angelo Poretti, Carling, Stowford Press, Guinness, Punk IPA, Worthington CF, original and dark fruits SB, Shipyard Pale Ale.
Newly opened at date of review JDW by Fulham Broadway station, earning my pint by getting here on a tube strike day. The bar counter, styled as a series of station ticket windows, is in the rear left-hand side with a patterned ceramic tiled skirt. The area around has densely packed tall tables on a herringbone pattern block wooden flooring and the kitchen occupies the wall space opposite. The area around the bar counter is very light owing to the apex glass ceiling. The rear has a colourful patterned carpet and some regular tables and chairs occupied by diners on my visit. The rear walls are adorned with quite a few paintings, of random theme on an olive-green upper wall above a dark boarded lower wall. There are a few smaller seating areas to the side of the main seating area at the front in the style of shop fronted units with boarding above the entrance announcing the name of the business and which house regular tables and chairs, the ones either side of the entrance providing a view of the busy main road outside. There is some additional seating and a roof terrace but I didn't venture up on a wet early evening. Furiously busy as you would expect for a newly opened JDW.

A really interesting conversion into a 'spoons, the former entrance to Fulham Broadway tube station and refering to it's former name abandoned in the 50's.Latterly the space was used for retail and the former shops to the front are now seperate snugs ,along with a kiosk frontage to the glass washing area and the bar to the left bearing the signs and booking hall windows with change bowls in polished copper. The main space is under a vaulted glass ceiling, the District Railway sandstone has been cleaned expertly and the rear section is a curved space with some tube artifacts along with classy looking paintings on the walls.
Just the furniture and menus gives away the 'spoons ownership, the exterior has also been beautifully restored. The interior isn't huge and there is a first floor lounge leading to a roof terrace. With Stamford Bridge just around the corner, you may wish to re-evaluate whether you wish to visit on CFC match days.
At the bar there was the trio of Doom with guests on my trip of Fullers London Pride,Burning Sky Aurora Aussie (not ready but still clipped, bad form),Southwark Biscuit Town Porter NBSS 4,Portobello New Who,Windsor & Eton Storm,Siren Tempo and Wainwright Gold.Several beer festival ales but a decent range might imply that ale is a focus at this branch, and I would certainly return for the interesting interior.Well done Tim.

Brand new 'spoons in the former booking hall for Fulham Broadway underground station (until the 1950s), and later a short-lived Market Hall outlet). The baroque frontage leads into an airy atrium seating area with the bar behind what looks like ticket-office windows (whether original or recreated I don't know) and the kitchen in some of the former shop units opposite. Also extends upstairs where a roof terrace can be found. Difficult to count the handpumps, but the local Twickenham's Full Lotus (£3.29) plus Wainwright Gold, Theakston Old Peculier and Jaipur available in addition to the standard Ruddles, Doom Bar and Abbot.
