A smart bar on the corner of Swan Street and Oldham Street that was briefly the ill fated Quick Brown Fox. It's just a rectangular box really, but it's been nicely decorated. The bar is facing you as you enter, there's no real ale, but there are a few craft kegs. I had a half of Beavertown Neckoil and had a chat to the barman. The toilets are down a very steep flight of stairs. There's a DJ rig next to the bar, so I assume it gets noisy later on. A pleasant enough place, but it's not really aimed at me.

Ironically, after taking years to open in the first place, this bar was seemingly unable to ride out three months of lockdown and will not be reopening.

Hi everyone,

We at The Quick Brown Fox hope everyone has been keeping well.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will not be re-opening post lockdown. The current climate for small businesses is a terrifying one, and unfortunately we do not have the capacity to continue trading once the lockdown is lifted.

Although we were open less than a year, we met some wonderful people along the way. A big thank you to all of our customers, and to our staff, for making The Quick Brown Fox a great place to be.

Sadly, this now appears to be the future of "pubs". This vastly overpriced nonsense is squarely aimed at knobheads who think £5 for a third of a pint of Blooble Ales Shitel IPA 4.2% is great. Oh there's 24 taps for poorhouse rocketing beer. Stop the world, I've ran out of money. Crap.
