Strongers . left this review about Cock & Bottle
The Cock and Bottle is a very small pub with a bar along the left wall and an inglenook in the right. Steps lead up to the toilets and a function room. The major draw is the large seating area on the tourist square out the front. In fact I was the only person in the pub as some background music played. The bar supports a standard and premium keg range and two hand pumps that were drawing Liberation Ale and Mavericks. I opted for half a Carling which set me back £2.80... Ouch. The European bar staff need to learn some manners and cheer up a bit. This pub has seen better days.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cock & Bottle
Liberation Group pub with entrances at opposite ends of the building, and apart from the name you would never realise that they are for the same establishment. Very traditional inside, but in fine weather the substantial seating / dining area out in the Royal Square is the place to be. Liberation Ale and Mind Wave available on handpump.
