This is a jazz themed pub with a traditional carpeted interior and modestly sized bar. There's a row of seats outside as well. I found Liberation Ale & IPA on the pumps (with another turned) as well as a big Madri font.
I can imagine it getting livelier later, but it was all very relaxed in the middle of the afternoon (if you ignore the racket from building work down the street).

Blue Note feels like a hotel bar with bluesy Jazz playing in the background. The service was friendly and I would expect nothing less paying £3.10 for half a Peroni. Other keg selections were Carling, Liberation Best, Tetley's Smooth, Guinness and Thatcher's Gold cider. The four hand pumps were drawing Fuller's London Pride and Sharp's Doom Bar alongside Liberation Ale and IPA. Clean and tidy with an upmarket feel, but not my cup of tea.
