Moby Duck left this review about Wygston's House
Set in an old medieval building that has been added to in the Georgian era and contains several rooms of varying interest. Four cask beers were available on my January visit listed below, I went with the Wantsum Moutere which was maybe an acquired taste but I did warm to it after a while.
As a building there is interest but as a pub It didn't quite do it for me.

Funny place this, giving a completely different initial impression depending on which way you approach it. From the main Applegate side you find a fine, three-storey Georgian frontage but no obvious signage to indicate what lies within. However, if walking through Jubilee Square, you encounter the unexpected sight of the adjoining medieval house (apparently the oldest one left in the city) behind a yard beer garden and the bar within. Various seating and dining rooms can then be accessed in the later part of the building. Four cask ales, featuring the Best Bitter and Happy Hound from Listers, Wantsum's Moutere and the more local Grainstore Three Kings (at sensible prices).

Old Boots left this review about Wygston's House
Grade two* listed mediaeval building with a Georgian frontage/extension and with an elegant largely Georgian style interior at one end, mediaeval at the other. Four hand pulls at one end of the counter with local ales from Charnwood and Church End plus Pedigree and a horseshoe of the usual and other kegs. You might expect it to be expensive and pretentious but the beers are averagely priced (£3.80 for a 4%) and it’s not over the top although I didn’t use the upstairs restaurant.
