I used to be a fan of Brewdog, but no more after visiting this one. It’s the usual converted shop with industrial features, but this image is now tired and cliched. The thing of indeterminate gender and species that abused me from behind the bar when I asked for a half sneered at me when I pointed out that they – it – needed a maths lesson, only to be told there was a 50p surcharge for ordering a half. I had – but didn’t enjoy – my half of Station, as there was the additional hassle of loud drunk hipsters – which haven’t yet died out in Cambridge – getting in the way and in my face. On the plus side they remain dog-friendly, and the food looked reasonable. But they must be barking if they think I’m coming back.
