Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Balmer Lawn Hotel

Imposing hotel in a picturesque location just out in the forest but not far from the Lymington River picnic area and Brockenhurst village. It welcomes non-residents, and the front patio beer garden is a great spot on a fine summer evening. The compact modern bar is nothing to write home about, but Butcombe Best Bitter is available from the solo handpump (£4.80 if you dodge the table service, and probably more if you don't...).
