Requested be closed with reason - Other: Closing After business on Monday 5th May 2025. Their Facebook page says; "With complete radio silence from our landlords about coming to an arrangement to continue our operations, we will likely close on Monday May 6th. We aim to continue attempting to reason with the property company that own the premises on Central Road but judging by the experiences of the other tenants over the last week or so, another outcome is unlikely at this point. We are deeply saddened that our little family business will cease to exist after 10 years of very hard work. Even more so that it has essentially been kneecapped by a council backed private enterprise that serves no benefit to the city at large. We are not the first independent business to fall foul of this thoughtless upheaval in Leeds City Centre, and unfortunately we won’t be the last. It’s been a big ten years & we’ve achieved a hell of a lot, we’re eternally thankful for the support of our incredible customers - many of whom have become great friends. We’d also like to convey deep regret to any businesses left out of pocket as a result of our closure, this is something we’ve worked desperately hard on to try and avoid over the last 9-12 months while faced with frankly impossible hurdles. We will continue to strive to find solutions where we can. We will be open 12-8 Sunday & 12-6 Monday."

A long thin place, with the counter down most of one side, boasts a single hand pump with about 10 keg taps lurking underneath. Seating at round and square tables at cafe style bentwood chairs. There’s a big fridge with interesting beers in bottle and can. It has table service only and is priced to match. Elegant cream over green paint work and carefully chosen lighting. The atmosphere is definitely not Leeds but closer to Antwerp or Brussels. Unisex toilets in basement.

A new bar very nice but a tad pricey 7.40 for a pint of real ale and a half of lager we nearly walked past as there were no taps on show and one handpump with no clip
