Busy pub on main street, with large restaurant area at rear facing onto pedestrianised street. Draught beers are Otter and Doom Bar with a changing guest; Butcombe at time of visit. Cask Marque listed. Perfectly adequate for a resort town pub.

Painted in a garish turquoise which detracts from the traditional exterior this pub faces two lanes ,the nominal front entrance on Fore Street. The initial section is the public bar with muzak, a flatscreen to the right with sofas below and some high tables dotted about. The small serving bar is to the left side.Towards the rear is a raised restaurant section with pine furniture and white painted walls, all rather featureless and the culminating in an exit onto the pedestrianised shopping lane.
The three handpumps were dispensing Moorhouse Pride of Pendle,Doom Bar and Otter Ale which proved a dull selection.I suspect once the tourist hoards have died down,a pub atmosphere takes hold in the front bar,the low ceilings create a bit of atmosphere.

A place best avoided during the summer months when it is packed with tourists who can't be bothered to explore more than 100 yards from the shoreline. In the winter it is better - but not by much - as it is an average place at best - average staff, average beer, average food.
