A large and recently refurbished place a fair distance from the town centre. Enter to the locals area with pool, darts and TV football. To the left is a knocked-through partition to a larger area with banquette seating and a dining area further beyond that. The ales are in this left hand side, so don’t be put off when you first come in! Six pumps with five on; Sharps Doom Bar and Atlantic, St Austell Tribute, GK Abbot and Dartmoor Jail Ale which was decent but needed more conditioning as it lacked depth and was quite carbonated. Quite lively on a Saturday lunchtime with a couple of oldsters in as well. Solid local. 6.5

Basically an estate pub, refurbed a couple of years ago with new restaurant and bar area. Large garden with play area. Friendly welcome and well kept beers but didn't try the food. Above average but nothing special.

Sidmouth's Only Purpose Built Pub Has Just Had A Redecoration. New Restaurant and new improved bar area. Hot food available all day, large garden, childrens play area and skittle alley available for hire.
