Brewery tap in an industrial estate, a fair few minutes from town. Was mildly surprised/disappointed to only find two cask available on a Saturday night and just one of them was theirs, which is a bit of a poor show (the other was Axholme); craftykeg is the thing they are concentrating on by the looks of it. Given I’d trekked-out this far and it was final stop of the day I decided to try both ales and they passed GBG muster (NBSS 3.5/3) but frankly, neither were much cop in terms of brew quality. The seating area is fairly nice - well lit, parquet flooring and some potted fauna. Plodding meat-and-two-veg rock soundtrack which I guess I wasn’t in the mood for. The box was ticked but I didn’t really see anything that made me think I’d retrace my steps should I wash-up on Grimsby’s shores again.

Strangely isolated place inn the middle of industrial units. Brewing vats to the left and the bar to the right. Three hand pumps and eleven craft fonts on the wall. I couldn't see a list of what was on offer which didn't help my choice. Would return.

This is Docks Beers tap room that has a serving counter on the right wall and brewery at the rear that is viewable from an L shaped beer shelf that runs around the front of the equipment. The bar supports two lagers and two hand pumps that were drawing Timothy Taylors Landlord and Axholme Brewery’s Cleethorpes. This place is all about the craft keg which is dispensed from eleven fonts from the back bar. I went for a Jaipur which unbeknown to me was 5.9%. This made the rest of my crawl very interesting; I think. This is a must visit for beer fans, but I prefer a more traditional pub so will not be returning.
