I liked it here, as it has a good vibe, but my cask beer (Rhythm & Brews Endeavour 4.1%) was poor, with confused flavours and served too warm. Possibly it was on too soon, or perhaps - as I'm not familiar with the brewery - it's just not a very good beer. But the Rhythm & Brews logo is featured on the front of the pub, so I guess they're the owners or at least strongly associated with it. There were two other beers on, and a row of keg taps on the bar back. I didn't query the state of my beer as a large group of young lads had just come in, so they had their hands full. I snuck out, leaving my half empty glass on the table. There are better cask beers to be found nearby (Three Swans, Nelson and George Inn, though the latter is a bit pricey) so I'm surprised this one's in the GBG based on my admittedly short acquaintance.

Nominally a micropub of sorts, located in a terrace, possibly converted to commercial use many years ago but now a pleasant bar. The former front room to the left off an entrance corridor has the counter with six pulls, all beers from smaller locals. Fourteen crafty keg taps and the obligatory artisinal gins, it does snacks too. The back wall has bone shaped black boards listing the available beers. Run by a couple of mad women, there's a load of slogans and things painted on the walls, daft but charming.
