A shop conversion micropub with very attractive curved glass front windows. There are high circular tables in each window recess, while the bar is at the rear wall.A series of low backed seating booths have been created on both sides of the mid area ,comfortable but detracting somewhat from the more chatty atmosphere that can be created by long bench seating on both sides employed by lots of other similar sized micros.Consequently regulars gather around the bar, which is the main place for chat but requires drinking vertically to join in.
5 ales are offered with a CAMRA discount and on my trip that meant Little Over Raj IPA (NBSS 3.5),Tiny Rebel Peleton (NBSS 4),Settle Mainline,Thornbridge Brother Rabbit and Nine Standards Porter (more a stout ,very good,NBSS 4.5).Shame there wasn't a high ABV option, but the ale quality here makes this a must visit and THE place to sup ale in Romiley.I will be back.

This was an excellent micro and the barmaid behind the bar was such a good laugh and kept us entertained whilst we supped away on Doghouse IPA, which was an excellent session beer. This micro was previously a clothes shop, with the walls now painted in white, jugs hanging down around the bar area, the bar positioned at the rear of the pub and an impressive shaped window framed shop front. The pub had five handpumps serving Scarborough Citra Doghouse IPA, Doghouse UPA, Muirhouse Fully Fitted Freight and Front Row Long Porter.

This micro pub features in the 2019 Good Beer Guide, and was a double fronted shoe and clothes shop. It has 5 cask ales of which 3 were from 3 Piers brewery, and the other 2 were from Stockport brewery and Poynton brewery. We enjoyed the 2 beers we chose. CAMRA discount available too. They also have craft ales and cider on tap, plus some bag in a box ciders.
