Down an alley to a very attractive and wonky timber frame building which is GII listed. The inside is pretty modern though there’s a bit of character – a timber beamed oblong interior with a ton of old pump clips on the wall. Lino floor and rock music. Four sticks on the bar with a good range. Sadly my choice of Staggeringly Good Porter failed by quite a margin to live-up to its name as it was just on the turn (NBSS 1.5) so decided to dump and scarper as I was behind schedule by this point and I couldn’t be arsed to argue over a half. Shame; but can see why this didn't make the GBG cut.

BCM stands for Bromsgrove Crafty Monkey, the name of a local beer brewed by the Green Duck brewery. Sure enough, Bromsgrove Crafty Monkey Blonde was on, alongside Little Critters Coco Nutter, Wilde Child Risk Avoidance & Salopian Golden Thread. There also seemed to be an interesting selection of spirits.
The bar has limited opening hours, being open only a couple of days per week (Friday & Saturday). Although the landlord did inform me that they had another pub in nearby Hanbury.
It is tucked away down an alleyway off a shopping street (Bridge Street), meaning it probably doesn't attract much passing trade. But there were clearly a few others who were in the know!
My 6% Coco Nutter was very enjoyable, albeit slightly undermined by the 7.3% stout I'd just had in the Red Lion.
There is a reasonably small single room, with tables also available in the passageway outside, which was yielding a fair degree of sunlight to make our visit pleasant. Another decent addition to Evesham's pub/bar offerings.
