Popped over on a Sunday lunchtime for the last session of the Leighton Buzzard Beer Festival, which was essentially an extended range of beers on sale. I sampled a number of beers (as you do) and was pleased with the quality of all of them. The only downside, and it's a trivial thing, was the use of a prepaid voucher system for payment with no change being given for unused vouchers. The brewery is on an unattractive industrial estate about 15 minutes walk from the town centre, and outside seating was fine on a pleasant summer day - I'm not so sure what it might be like on a cold and wet December evening.

We called in here last Friday lunchtime, where we met the new owner/head brewer. This friendly and likeable chap told us he had taken over the brewery seven weeks ago. The beer list was displayed on a board near the front entrance, which had a choice of four cask ales and three keg. We went for the Restoration X, which was slightly higher in ABV than the regular Restoration beer around 5.2%, what a fantastic beer it was. We also tried the Black Buzzard 5.8% a chilli smoky porter, which was amazing. The final beer we tried was the Captain Cook, an excellent session beer.
We stayed a lot longer than anticipated as their beers were so good. This brewery also had a choice of two ciders and a good selection of their bottled beers. They also have pop up food supplied by Miss Kavita's Kitchen, who cooks Indian food, chillies and also has pie and mash nights. The prices in here were also good, all the beers under 5.5% were £3 a pint.

The bar of this brewery is a 2019 Good Beer Guide entry, and it is only open Fridays and Saturdays. There were cask and keg beers and also plenty of bottles to purchase. We enjoyed their Captain Cook and Corporal Rogers beers.
