Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Funicular

Seaside 'coffeehouse' café and bar located under the cliffs beneath the promenade, slightly hidden away behind the beach-huts, and beside the eponymous (if long-disused) cliff railway. Furniture inside comprises a few stools by the front window, but there are four tables out on the front terrace. Just two Curious beers - Brew and IPA (£2.50, half) - on the pair of craft keg taps, but on a sunny end of season day I found this a very civilised and relaxing little place.
