The old Bryn Artro guest house is now the Hafan Artro hotel with a modernised bar and restaurant that are open to the public.
The bar is around the back of the building and consists of a small rectangular wooden floored room with a mix of high and low furniture. The large rambling rear garden has been converted to a modern paved patio with a grass area rising to the right.
I doubt that this place has a proper cellar so there are no hand pumps and six mainstream keg options on the bar. There are some Purple Moose bottles in the fridge and the bottle of Dark Side of the Moose (£3.50) was better than the keg options.
This is a vast improvement on the old very underused Bryn Artro residential bar. It loses points for the lack of cask ale.
