Brand new, modern and open-plan bar opposite the Corner House. The exterior promises 'craft and cask' but in reality that amounted to a few leftfield cans in the fridge and a warm substandard Black Sheep at a laughable (for Beverley) 2 quid a half. To be fair the interior is fairly pleasant for a new bar, and whilst bold has a tasteful restraint with grey, charcoal and mustard yellow shades, as well as an impressively tiled wall. To the rear is a stylized bit of decor referencing Fritz Lang's Metropolis. In a town that seemingly supports more pubs than would seem feasible, this one at least has a niche but the rotten cask would put me off revisiting when there's so many other pubs in town.
