As described by Steve, this is a lively inclusive bar with a camp music style. It has previously been known as The G Spot, but maybe that made it too hard to find, so they changed it back to its former name. The androgenous staff were friendly enough, and they seemed genuinely sorry that there was no real ale – or indeed anything remotely drinkable without triggering a gag reflex – that they could offer. I’m not sure I’d migrate back here in a hurry due to the lack of ale.

The Swallow is a LGBTQ+ friendly pub that was pretty quiet late doors on a recent Tuesday visit. The interior is L shaped with a stage area at the rear. The background music was very random so I expect there’s a jukebox hidden away somewhere. I spotted a couple of televisions that were airing muted Commonwealth Games, I didn’t see any Sky Sports advertisements. The barmaid was very friendly, but there was only a standard keg range available being as the San Miguel was off.
