Blue Scrumpy left this review about Leigh on Sea Brewery Tap

Located on the northern edge of Leigh-on-Sea in an area of business units, the Brewery Tap for the local brewery is not the easiest to get to by public transport and was a 1-hour walk from anywhere else decent. I ended up walking pretty much all of the way.

You access the brewery down a narrow track/alleyway up the side of one of the units, which turned out to be part of the brewery. The taproom is found behind the unit and is a small space with just a couple of tables inside, but quite a few more outside, most of which are undercover.

2 Leigh on Sea beers were available on handpull - Bawley Bitter & Boatyard IPA. In addition, there were a couple of bag-in-the-box ciders in a fridge, which were Snail's Bank Rhubarb Cider & Kentish Pip Craftsman. Further Leigh on Sea KeyKeg beers were Legra Pale & Yeah Buoy! My Bawley Bitter was ok, but I much preferred the Castle Black I'd had in their Legra Tap & Kitchen.

Music was playing to try to create a little bit of an atmosphere. I was also impressed that the barman enquired as to whether I was a CAMRA member and offered me a discount. An Octoberfest was advertised, as were tours of the brewery. There were a few locals in. Given this place's hidden-away location and its limited opening hours (until 8pm Thursday, Friday & Saturday), I was left wondering just how many visitors it actually gets.
