Old Boots left this review about Banyan
Much of a muchness with others in the chain, a ground floor room on two levels with the lengthways counter on the lower left. Tall seating abounds which is a pain for old men with short legs like myself, the shiny leather upholstery both a boon (you can slide along it) and a curse in that you could slide off if taken drunk. There are a few shorter chairs and tables near the door and in the booth like bits on the upper level. Decor wise it’s the usual industrial style above head height with plumbing scrap light fittings and cable tray, the counter front is tiled in white, the floor parquet and the walls a mix of wood cladding and quite nice inscribed slate. Constant music although of a vintage that wasn’t offensive to me. There’s a massive bar back in square steel tube carrying two large screens, glasses and a wide range of spirits, the counter has two large lumps of pipe work with a range of expected and less expected kegs, three hand pumps sit between them although on my visit only a shabby Saltaire Blonde was available. There’s an upstairs, I suspect the facilities are up there with more seating but I didn’t check. Pandemic measures still in place but very light touch.

Coming from the station, this place looked quite small, but it certainly opens out once through the main door. Bar to the left. Three hand pumps, two not operational, the other some chocolate beer which is not to my taste, so I had an Aspalls. One point of amusement was a waiter moving too quickly with three drinks on a tray. They didn't stay there!!
