A shop conversion like it's sister pub in Hertford, the interior stretches back a bit and has bench seating to both front windows. There is a mid building side snug, while the bar and loos are at the rear. It's been well decorated and feels very pub like with an upright piano adding to the atmosphere.
There was a friendly welcome from behind the bar and there was a three ale selection on my visit of Fuller's London Pride,St Austell Tribute and "Dark Star" Hophead (NBSS 3.5) That's quite a conservative line up of nationally available brands, and the keg selection was similar.
Lively with three Sky Sports flatscreens and very loud muzak, like it's Hertford sister it's anything but a Quiet Man !
