Prado Lounge, spell that carefully, is L-shaped with open plan seating across the front and banquettes with tables up to the right rear where they’re faced by the serving counter from the left. Premium and mainstream craft keg options were available alongside the café/bistro food menu. The faux old school gym floor is here plus the mass produced ‘upcycled’ furniture, granny’s floral wallpaper and framed portraits, although it’s not as over the top as at some of this chain’s outlets. The ceiling is also too low to hang the usual big lights, so it actually felt a bit bare in places. There was some background music from the likes of the Stones and unsurprisingly it was busy with mainly young families during a recent early Friday evening visit. I’ll give a special mention to the extremely friendly young ladies that were running the show, all other customer facing businesses should be employing whoever trains the staff at these Loungers venues because I’ve received nothing but exemplary service, and I’ve now been to about 25 of them up and down the country. Good for food, but not so much for just a beer.
