Visited 05/03/26. Visited previously 10/10/21.

Cask offering here was their own Gloam, described as a hoppy amber, the Beak Cubed, a double dark mild, and the Devil's Horse an Irish stout from Grasshopper Beer. Keg offering from the taps on the wall behind the bar counter was their own Yarn unfiltered lager, the classic Rodeo pale ale, the Rafiki session IPA, the Big Salad NEIPA, the keg Gloam, Toots a DDH NEIPA, Shapes a fruit sour, the Chirps cherry sour and the Jakuzzi DDH lager. Guest keg beer was the Place of our Own Coolship Stout from Ideal Day brewery. Good selection of their beers in cans at the side of the bar counter.

Arch based venue with a good amount of outside seating at the front of the venue, a good part covered. Inside it is polished concrete flooring with the bar counter at the rear of the arch and offering some tall stool seating on the right-hand edge of the bar counter. There are trestle style tables down both sides of the approach to the bar counter and the lighting is very ambient with what you would describe as background easy listening music. The brewing kit, or at least part of it that's visible, is off to the rear left-hand side of the venue. I think this is in the upper echelons of arch based brewer taprooms. Well worth a visit.

Our penultimate stop on the Jack In The Green Parade and we'd caught up with the Jack and all of its followers. The Villages Brewery Taproom had opened up on a Wednesday especially for the parade and had even brewed a beer for the event - a cask version of their Full Bloom.

Situated in a railway arch close to Deptford station, this is a typical brewery taproom selling mostly keg beers. The Full Bloom was also available on keg, along with their Rodeo, Rafiki, Big Salad IPA, Poncho, Bassoon & Bubbles.

Staff dealt well with the crowds and we decided to stay on for another after most had dispersed.

An enjoyable afternoon drinking in Deptford in several places that I never knew existed, including this one.

Not much to add to PSMs description below, thankfully no QR code or App nonsense anymore. Eight taps on the back wall behind the bar with a range of styles, most quite strong in ABV,I settled for the low end with a 4.3% Villages Rafiki an inevitably hazy session IPA. This place was smarter than some arches I've visited with seating inside and out and the beer was good, I'd certainly include it on a crawl.
