Former Country Club (where we had our wedding reception), now a pub. It has fantastic grounds and beer garden. The inside is a sprawl of rooms and dining features heavily. Service was good and it was very popular with a mixed crowd. It isnt cheap. Several ales, with a decent enough Tim Taylor Boltmaker. Worth a visit for one - and for nostalgia!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Oakley Arms

Typical Brunning & Price country pub / restaurant, much extended behind the farmhouse-type building you can see from the road. Numerous different dining areas arranged around the central bar area, all decorated in the expected upmarket semi-traditional style. Benefits from a patio terrace on one side, overlooking a very attractive pond. I found six of the seven handpumps in use, including their 'house' Bitter and a pair from Big Hand, but that's probably too many cask ales if my pint of Seren from the latter is anything to go by (£4.60).

A fabulously smart Brunning & Price with a huge dining room with a low ceiling held up by numerous pillars. The bar is long and adorned with seven hand pumps with a mix of local beers plus their regular house beer plus Boltmaker and Black Sheep Respire. I went for a couple of Holdens, but the XB was just a little past its best and the Black Country Mild had lost its condition. This was a shame, because I had found really excellent beer in a B&P in Ironbridge the night before and was looking forward to more.
