I called in on the spur of the moment to ask if there was a public bar. The owner welcomed me in and pointed the way to the bar. There is no draft beer, only bottles, but he gets a lot of his stock from Snowdon Craft and Tomos Watkins. I went for the last named's Miners Pride, which went down very well during a conversation with the owner, which included his encounter with Donald Trump at a golf course he acquired in Scotland, and how the Frontier Adventure park in Morecambe had been such a failure. His only other customer in the time I was there was a young hiker wanting to leave her luggage in her booked room before setting off up yon fell. He told me he'll often get walkers celebrating after climbing Cadair Idris, the nearby peak. The absence of draught beer is a drawback, but understandable. I was glad I stopped for a beer, I hope others will too.
