E TA left this review about The Herbalist
As described by JAQPTIO below, this large single room pub/diner's central feature is the two copper tanks labelled 'Staropramen', some guff claiming to be fresh from the Brewery while labelled with a date four weeks before our visit. The majority of the customers were 30-something couples eating expensive trendy bar snacks. No cask ale, just the aforementioned lager and taps dispensing Alpacalypse, Aspall's Cider and Guinness. The gins and cocktails seemed to be their main trade. No real pub atmosphere, though the staff were friendly enough. I could be tempted back for lunch, but that's about it.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Herbalist
About 2/3rds restaurant, 1/3rd bar (which appears to be called Junipers externally, but that is the related weekend cocktail bar / club downstairs), with an attractive semi-modern appearance and furniture to suit in both parts of an elongated rectangular space. Plenty of window space on two sides, and well lit further back by the counter, main kitchen and pizza oven (beside which there is a hatch for takeaway sales). Three annoyingly disused handpumps (with a selection of real ales offered by the Elite Pub Co's other outlets), so the choice was either Staropramen 'brewery fresh' tank beer or one of a few keg beers (e.g. Curious Brew). Unsurprisingly, given the name, a wide range of gins is offered, along with various cocktails.
