Named after a small hospital that once stood on the site which could cater for six poor folk, hence the name. A very friendly place with loads of cakes etc on display. They normaally have a full hot menu available, but due to some small mishap they didn't during our visit. Nevermind, they have 4 handpumps, one of which is always a TT beer. Both our beers were in good nick and I would happily have stayed for another, but time pressures made us move on. We'll be back to this one.

I was surprised how busy this place was on our Sunday afternoon visit. The majority of the customers were outside in the courtyard, with families and dog walkers taking up the rest of the space inside. However nobody seemed to have ventured to the upstairs lounge, which was good and a nice space to enjoy your beer. Four pumps on the bar serving TT Landlord, Nightjar Lost in Ikea, Brass Castle Bitter and Turning Point Wavelength.

A cosy little cafe/bar/bistro, the sort of place you might ignore except they have 4 decent ales on (TT Boltmaker, Dissolution IPA, Tiny Rebel Baby Cakes and Bristol Set Free). This is topped off with extremely enthusiastic staff and a large tabled patio area to the back, although admittedly prices are at the top end for the area. I might have to come back to check.
