Strongers . left this review about St Werburgh's Parish Centre
St Werburgh's Parish Centre, like many struggling clubs, now lets the general public through the doors. The members here are sports fans, there are a couple of dartboards in the left-hand bar and in the right is a projector screen that was showing live Monday evening overseas horse racing. Like many of the venues in Chester there’s also a bagatelle table, I assume there’s a league. Standard keg and Madri were available alongside three hand pumps, one of which was in operation drawing Robinson’s Wizard. The price was no different to the local pubs, however the members get discounted rates. The general point of joining a club is to be part of a community by visiting regularly and getting involved in the events, or to just to have somewhere to go for a cheap pint. So I’m not sure why non-members would drink in a members club while paying pub prices.
