Now a fully-fledged micro-pub having been taken over some time ago. Yes, it is in a modern unit - with a couple of cafe/wine bar incarnations, but it has a decent outdoor seating area. An L-shaped, single room interior with eclectic art and seats, it has a wood floor and a nice brick fire. The TV was showing rugby, often it is the beer choice! There is a dart board. The service is always good and usually it is a more mature crowd in. Five ales, usually of the lighter kind, with a decent Fixed Wheel Centenary Gold. Always worth a visit.

Bar / café in a dull-looking building (possibly a converted shop?), but with a surprisingly light semi-modern interior featuring some lounge seating near the front windows, standard tables in the counter area and space for live music further back. The servery has two handpumps, but real ale is only offered at weekends (with Tribute due on next). Had to make do with Tetley's Smooth (£3.40, and at least served in the right glass).
