Friendly welcome - but not for me (apologies for the low rating).
I've been to a lot of micro pubs but never one without interesting beers.
Typical micro interior - with a couple of pool tables (including one upstairs) - massive speakers and the volume was loud.
But its the beer range thats an eye opener. No cask. No international bottles. No craft.
Most interesting thing available was Stella Unfiltered.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Church View Tavern
The former Talk of the Town is now run by a young local lad under its new name. I admire his enterprise, even if I don't like his pub which is loud (with punters needing to shout to be heard above the music) and free of real ale or anything else likely to catch my interest. After failing to find out what it actually was, I went for the 'house' lager (just £3.20) whilst waiting for my bus and wondering this town-centre unit (little bigger than some micro-pubs) might otherwise be...

Modern looking one room wine bar with the usual fizzy selection. The added bonus was one real ale - Holdens Golden Glow on my visit. £3 a pint and in fine form!
