Blandford's newest watering hole does little to compensate for the closure of both The Dolphin and The Railway in recent months. It tries to brand itself as a wine bar, but in reality it is nothing more than a general purpose bar despite the availability of tapas-style platters and various other snacks, which were, to be fair, not bad. The converted shop has a bar area at the front with various seating styles, while the rear room, reached up a short flight of steps, is a dining area and function room called The Enclosure. Staff were friendly and the locals were tolerant, not bad for Blandford. There was no real ale despite a board outside saying there might be. We had pints of Malthouse IPA, the best offering they had, while a cider which made Woodpecker look good failed to impress. The wine list had one or two interesting offerings. OK for horsing around but not somewhere to enjoy a decent pint.
