Another bar and kitchen in the ground floor of one of the anonymous blocks making up the Wellington Place area. This one is a touch more down market than some round these parts. It’s a split level affair with a takeaway for food and coffee (or “bakes and brews” as they call them) section at the front street level and up a few stairs an L shaped bar/diner area. There's a counter straight area with two low T-bars, a Mahou and a Guinness solo plus an unexpected handpull with an average Taylor’s Golden Best. I thought that an odd choice for this venue but hey ho. The kegs are less predictable with a Brew York and a Tiny Rebel among the more standard kegs (Stella, Hawkstone, Inch's, Neck Oil and Wainwright); could be worse of course. The bar back has a collection of roundels so they try to do more than the standards. Cocktails of course are available, £11 each and shots (£4 or £20 for 6) or lovely Jagerbombs at £18 for 4. Beers are at a little lower than normal Wellington Place prices. Round the corner at one end I spied a dartboard next to the food prep area, this is burgers, wings, loaded fries and a few pub type classics. Low and high level tables and industrial ceilingware, there is a glitter-ball (yay!!!) and a pull down screen. So less predictable than some.

Another new bar round the back of the Good Luck Club. Reasonable size with the bar to the rear. Two reversed hand pumps and ten keg fonts.

After entry the bar is found by ascending a small flight of stairs on the right hand side where there is a modern set up with adequate seating and a large bar that had 10 keg taps and a couple of casks to go at.Quite liked this one and thought it was the better of the new bars.
