Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Newcastle Tap
Modern bar located under an office block opposite the station, with a mix of furniture and an unusual glass-fronted mezzanine displaying an array of casks and kegs. Now has a row of eight handpumps on the counter, offering a range of six cask ales - including Duck Decoy and Life in Miniature from Welbeck Abbey on this visit. Also has a wide range of craft beers from taps on the bar-back.

Old Boots left this review about Newcastle Tap
A modern barn of a place opposite the central station and so a good first or last on a visit. Eight beers served by hand pump from a visible “cellar” above the counter. Mix of banquettes and chairs at square and rectangular tables. Otherwise fairly modern and bland, the beer is fine though.

Industrial, fairly large ale house near railway station. Plenty of beer options. Modern popular pub
