Requested be closed with reason - Other: Having visited since it’s name change, I feel this should probably be marked as closed. There are no drinks on tap and it’s really much more of a restaurant.

A recent opening on the Whiteladies Road strip, a sign outside proclaims that this is in fact a cocktail bar, so not your traditional pub but they didn’t nonetheless have a small range of drinks on tap which is more than can be said for many such places.
Internally, it consists of a single room at the front which has been divided in to a couple of different areas with some walling. A number of high tables and stools were along the left, and further stools by the large windows made the most of the outlook. Décor wise there were sanded wooden boards on the floor and dark green paintwork on the walls. A few old drinks adverts such as Campari and Cinzanno had been made in to pictures and hung on the walls. Beyond the front area, a kitchen blocked off much of the available space, although there was a corridor leading to a courtyard garden at the rear and this had a shelf and further seating along the right. Unusually the chairs were bare metal and very cold. The music was perhaps a tad on the loud side for easy conversation, but the barman was friendly enough and sported the obligatory bushy beard.
Unfortunately there were no real ales on tap, just Whitstable Bay on keg. The solitary cider meanwhile was Aspall’s Suffolk. There was of course and extensive cocktail list, although we did not study this. This is a tricky one to mark – for a cocktail bar it’s ok, although certainly nothing particularly memorable, but if you’re after a more traditional pub then you’re going to be disappointed.

Having visited in 2014 when it was Papajis I was sceptical about adding it back then as it had more of a Cocktail bar feel that served pints.
Having being rebranded as Flipside a while ago I revisted today and it is still a place that serves pints and no weird policy over being in it.
All keg there was an Arbor Ale on covering up the original offering and some Samuel Smiths thing. Cider was Aspinall's and Lager Oranjeboom.
As mentioned it's predominately a cocktail venue but there was a large group of men (mid 40's and above) drinking, potentially due to it being happy hour and unfortunately not my round.
Once inside the bar is on the right with high shelving for all the bottles to make said cocktails. It's a squarish room that then has a long corridor to the toilets and a garden. Seating is mostly high tables and stools with an upholstered long bench on the left hand side spanning between 3 separate tall tables. Beyond there is a sunken wrap around enclosed bench seating area with a couple of tables and some stools.
The walls are adorned with artwork forming the decor rather than pictures by famous Bristol graffiti artist Inke and there was a canvas for sale by him for £600 from memory.
As the nature of the bar it won't be for everyone and doesn't tend to open till the afternoon and even when I was looking through the window earlier I thought it was shut as lighting is quite subdued despite failing to notice some seating outside.
A hard venue to photograph due to the massive bus stop outside covering the width of the whole facade.
