Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Pier Five

Modern Shepherd Neame pub in the ongoing redevelopment of the former docks between the 'mainland' and St Mary's Island. BrewDog-style semi-industrial interior with picture windows overlooking what is now a marina, supplemented by plenty of outdoor tables on the west side of the eponymous marine structure. Disappointingly, no cask ale, but it did have several of the brewery's 'small batch' beers, including First Drop and quite a punchy New World XPA (£6.50).

new, modern bar and grill on the ground floor of a glass-fronted building, part of the Quayside retail and leisure complex. There is no real ale, strange given that it's a Shepherd and Neame pub. It lacks character and has nothing appealing on the food menu – factory-made burgers and other junk food - or wine list. It's functional, I suppose, but there is little here to tempt me.
