We paid our first visit to the Piccadilly branch of Bundobust on Monday afternoon. It's a basement bar/restaurant accessed from a fairly innocuous entrance from Piccadilly Gardens.

Once down the steep steps, you reach a large room with the bar at the far end and a kitchen towards the rear left. Another set of steps to the rear right presumably leads to a second entrance/exit or perhaps more drinking/dining space.

There are a couple of cask ales, which for our visit were Thornbridge/Bundobust Amarillo Citra & Track Sonoma. The craft beer selection is much wider with Bundobust Peela, Ella, Dohara, Charso 400, Hopfen Dhoop, Burfi & Utsav, Bundobust/Sureshot The Movie Is Not Over My Friend & Vault City Chocolate Orange Sour all available. The cider was Bundobust/Hogan's Bundo Blush.

The vegetarian food still seems to be the main draw for these places, with the menu currently featuring festive sprout bhajis. Just the original Leeds outlet for me to visit now, this is a good option if you want to try something a little different on the craft beer front.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bundobust

Subterranean cavern at the southeast corner of Piccadilly Gardens, with canteen-style furniture and a semi-industrial look enlivened by a few Bollywood posters and others in a similar style. However, the selection of the brewery's own beers and the variety of guests is what draws most people here, with 14 craft keg taps and a couple of handpumps. In the end, I went for the cask Dark Mild collaboration with Thornbridge (£4.20) which proved a good choice my my quick meal.

Visited on 11.8.22 while on a crawl with a couple of friends. Amazing smells from the indian food but they were ok with us just wanting beer. We enjoyed 2 cask beers, Bundobust Blonde Ale and Blackjack Dearg Dawn.
