Visited a couple of weeks ago towards the end of November, on a weekday afternoon. Four hand pulls at the bar with three in active service. Ales available were from Coach House, Pennine, and another I can't remember. My Pennine Dark Forest set me back £1.75 for a half.
There is an 'outside' area within the vaults with additional seating. In this area the floor is on a slope, but I couldn't help admiring the benches and tables with the set of legs at one end longer than at the other to compensate for the slope. I suppose they must have been custom made.
I don't know why but didn't feel wowed by the place, but that said I'd probably be happy to call in again if I was passing.

Lovely spot in the vaults of another market hall. Sister pub to "one for the road". Maybe not offering the variety of beers as that making up with atmospehere.
I went for the house beer "Gret T'ale" from Deeply Vale Brewery - which was very well kept.

what a lovely little vaulted bar this is, well described below. The lads running the place were very friendly and I enjoyed a decent stout from the four handpumps (three ales and a cider). Sadly custom was a bit sparse on a Saturday afternoon and the relentless thudding dance music from the game arcade next door was a drawback. Not this bar’s fault, but still. It’s definitely worth a look if in Bolton but I don’t imagine staying for a session.
