Sadly it's all changed here. Under new ownership and according to the barmaid the first thing they did was take out the handpumps. They were also closing at 18:45 on a Tuesday.

A very pleasant bar in the middle of Lord Street. It's long and narrow like many of the new bars along here. It's nicely decorated with some comfy seating down one side. We called in at about 4 and had a drink and a look at the menu and decided to eat here later on. There are 4 handpumps on the bar and all 4 were on. My pint was in very good nick. We called back just after 7 to find that they stop serving food at 7. The chef very kindly offered to do us a charcuterie board, even though she had finished for the day. Very good it was too. On this visit Ms CAMRA had a red wine which she thought was good as well. Probably my favourite of the small bars on Lord Street.

A new bar at the far end of Lord St. As its name suggests this is a long, thin bar. More modern than its neighbours the Inn Beer Shoppe and Bar 45. Its a nice enough place and the only draught ale on the bar is from the 4 handpumps on the bar. Charles Wells Globe Hopper, Coach House Gunpowder Mild, Salopian Darwin's Origin and Wainwright being your beers today. There are, however 10 taps on the wall behind the bar for lager-a-likes. I enjoyed my visit though I assume its a bit rowdy of a weekend.
