Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bierkeller

Entertainment complex with three different bars: the eponymous beer hall at the back, Around the World at the front and Shooters sports bar upstairs. Hardly full early on a Wednesday night, but it looked like they were gearing up for some Christmas parties later on. Franziskaner Weissbier, Früli and (oddly) San Miguel on the keg taps, plus a 'haus bier' and 'haus apfelwein' of unknown origin.

Huge space on Broad Street actually incorporating three 'amazing' separate bars. The Bierkeller is at the back with long wooden tables, there is apparently a Shooters Sports Bar upstairs and then Around the World on the street frontage.

Only the front bar was open on my daytime visit, in itself it is maasive open plan room with a long bar server at one end, windows to Broad Street at the other. Lacks atmosphere and there is a lot of space for standing. Also a stage advertising a live acoustic club. Some high padded benches, sofas and more standard seating.

No real ale.

New Bierkeller on Broad Street. This used to be Brannigans. Very busy on my Saturday evening visit with 2 live football matches showing on the many screens in the upstairs bar.
