A corner bar with a pizza oven behind the bar and four hand pumps on it. One beer was "coming soon" (see photo). I had a reasonably well conditioned Black Sheep Bitter, but I'm not used to paying a full £2 for a half of this beer - Wakefield getting as pricey as Leeds? There were a few people in for an early evening drink on Saturday, some going for the sofas in the windows, some for the high tables with stools down the middle of the room. Toilets are upstairs and there is a restaurant to the rear, which seems to be a separate establishment (see what I did there?) but I would guess their customers share the toilets, in case that bothers you. (I didn't see any facilities for those who might struggle on the stairs.) Closed Sunday through Tuesday, according to Facebook.

Went in on Saturday lunch 3/3/18 to find the place enpty. Ordered a pint of Old Speckled Hen that cost more than a chicken dinner in some places. At £4.10 a pint I thought that was steep, but all the beers, even Tetleys were at that price. Will avoid in future.

Overpriced modern bar in a lovely large Victorian shop, but decent quality if none too exciting beers.
